CHKS Standards for Health and Care Organisations accredited by the International Society for Quality in Health Care
The CHKS Standards for Health and Care Organisations 2018 has been accredited by the International Society for Quality in Health Care’s External Evaluation Association (IEEA). ISQua is a global organisation, which aims to inspire, promote and support continuous improvement in the safety and quality of health care worldwide.
The evaluation demonstrates that the CHKS standards meet international best practice requirements and are accredited until 2023. ISQua surveyors noted that CHKS standards are clear and transparent with a 25-year history of satisfaction from clients, yet this hasn’t stopped the company from gathering more information to drill down and analyse specific issues in relation to ratings, in a bid to further improve the accreditation process.
The surveyors also highlighted:
The CHKS standards for service users and providers are comprehensive and in many areas are leading practices.
Standards are thorough and comprehensive with respect to quality improvement, monitoring using metrics and analysis including audit of processes.
CHKS should be commended for incorporating many sources of evidence into their standards, and for the significant improvement in seeking feedback from clients and surveyors over the past three years.
Moyra Amess, Director, Benchmarking, Assurance and Accreditation, CHKS said: “This is the first submission in which the CHKS standards were presented as two catalogues - a general and specialist catalogue. The result was accreditation with no recommendations which is a superb outcome and demonstrates the quality of our processes in the development of these comprehensive healthcare organisational standards.
“However, we are not complacent and in the spirit of continuous quality improvement we will continue to develop and refine our standards to further enhance our accreditation programme.”
Thrilled that our ISQua accreditation was recognised at the ISQua Conference in Cape Town - a fantastic achievement!
