CHKS has taken the decision to cancel this year’s Top Hospitals awards given the current state of spread of the Covid-19 virus and the potential impact on health service providers.
The awards celebrate hospitals where innovative practice has made a significant impact on the safe and effective delivery of healthcare or on population health, through two specific areas – data and information and accreditation standards and programme. Of the nine awards, six are based on the results of an in-depth analysis of publicly available datasets and there is no judging panel. The winners were due to be announced at a ceremony in London on the 24th June.
Moyra Amess Director, CHKS Assurance & Accreditation, said: “This year marks the 20th anniversary of the CHKS Top Hospitals awards, and it is the first time the event has been cancelled. We will now focus our efforts on delivering a successful event in 2021.”
