New-2024-CHKS-Standards-for-Health-and-Care-Organisations

We are delighted to announce the publication of the new 2024 edition of the CHKS Standards for Health and Care organisations.

These new standards include the criteria for the CHKS Green Award which seeks to recognise those organisations that are making a visible commitment to environmental sustainability, through introducing sustainable working practices into the everyday, and a new standard for telehealth services, recognising advancements in digital technology across healthcare delivery.

The CHKS Green Award is an optional award which organisations may choose to embrace as part of their ongoing developmental accreditation journey and recognises that organisations are increasingly conscious of their environmental impact and carbon footprint.

CHKS have also developed the Accreditation Plus programme for addiction treatment centres, which aims to take a broader/deeper view of the accreditation process, focusing on the individual development needs of each client, whilst ensuring the integrity of accreditation standards is maintained.

Commenting on the 2024 standards, Jackie Rayner, Head of Quality and Development at CHKS, commented,

“Our broad approach and use of terminology means that our library of standards is applicable to all health and care organisations, from large acute providers to very small single-handed practitioners. Organisations working with CHKS can be assured they are working to internationally recognised standards of best practice.”

CHKS

The CHKS Assurance & Accreditation programme is based on a framework of evidence-based best practice standards which when implemented support the organisation on a quality improvement journey. An accreditation programme can be instrumental in helping your organisation to implement the government inquiry’s recommendations, including adoption of best practice standards, fostering staff engagement, and cultivating a safer and more supportive culture.

What Are Hospital Models And Why Are They Important To Your Trust’s Board?
