The CHKS User Group – an opportunity to learn, share and innovateThe CHKS User Group is one of the ways our clients share ideas and experiences, helping them to get the most out of their organisation’s data and CHKS products. Twice a year, members spend a day finding out about developments in the pipeline at CHKS and meeting colleagues to hear about the experiences of other teams. Members come from several different departments including information, governance and performance improvement.

User group meetings are interactive and provide an opportunity for members to give feedback on CHKS products, making sure we continue to develop solutions that meet the needs of today’s NHS organisations.

At our most recent User Group meeting it became clear there is a desire for NHS managers to learn, improve and innovate and find new ways of working. We heard from Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, winner in the patient experience category at this years’ CHKS Top Hospitals Awards. Jessica Mallach, head of patient experience at the trust shared how organisations that are more person-centred have better clinical outcomes and are safer. She emphasised the importance of leadership in getting the culture right and suggested we make staff experience a priority too.

The CHKS assessment and discharge workflow aware care plan streamlines the assessment and discharge process. It allows providers and local authorities to manage the assessment and discharge of patients who require ongoing care efficiently. Attendees had the opportunity to see how the care plan allows acute providers to see the real-time position of every patient and improve patient experience for those being transferred to ongoing care.

Attendees also learnt more about the latest updates to iCompare, our healthcare intelligence programme.
